Nathaniel Barnum joined RM Friedland in November 2024 as Co-Managing Director to spearhead the firm’s continued growth into Connecticut. With expertise in Fairfield County, Mr. Barnum has managed over 750 transactions across office and retail sectors.
Prior to RMF, Mr. Barnum worked for 8 years at Lincoln Property Company. Before Lincoln, he spent 30 years as Executive Vice President at New England Land Company with a focus on tenant representation that includes: Financial service firms, medical, and health groups regarding relocation cost analysis, market surveys, comparative lease analysis, lease negotiations, and coordination of tenant relocation services. His owner representation activities include Developing and overseeing marketing plans, tenant canvassing, tenant relocation analysis, and lease negotiations.
Mr. Barnum has completed leasing and sale transactions with the following companies: Wells Fargo, BlackRock Financial Management, AXA Investment Managers, Stone Point Capital, Meritage Group LP, Gramercy Advisors, Stamford Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and First Reserve Corp.
In addition, Mr. Barnum has been a board member of The ONS Foundation, The Greenwich Red Cross, The Field Club of Greenwich, Christ Church Outreach Foundation, a member of the Brunswick School Alumni Council and Chairman of the Board for the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Barnum is a licensed real estate broker in Connecticut and New York. He graduated from Brunswick School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ithaca College.
