In 2020 Chris O’Callaghan, one of the market’s most prominent office brokers, joined RM Friedland to spearhead the firm’s office division alongside the firm’s president Sarah Jones-Maturo. These two experts have a combined track record of more than 50 years of office brokerage excellence. As a tenant representative, RMF has represented some of the most significant tenants in our markets. Chris joined RMF in October of 2020 as its Managing Director of the Office Division. Chris will be spearheading the office division’s growth working on recruiting and various business development initiatives. Chris has been one of Westchester’s most prolific office brokers over the past couple of decades.

Prior to joining RMF, Chris served as Managing Director of JLL. Chris has negotiated many of the most significant real estate transactions in the region, involving such companies as AT & T, New York Life, Snapple, White Plains Hospital, Waterhouse Securities, TRIARC, Metropolitan Life Insurance, Emcor Group, Inc., Morrow & Company, State Street Bank, Hitachi, Business Council of Westchester and United Technologies, to name just a few. Mr. O’Callaghan has negotiated lease and sale transactions valued at over $1Billion involving over $20 million square feet.

Mr. O’Callaghan is the former Chairman of the Board of the Business Council of Westchester County, which represents over 1,200 member businesses in Westchester County and New York State. He is also the former Chairman of the Westchester Economic Development Business Coalition. Mr. O’Callaghan has served on the Boards of NAIOP (The National Association of Industrial and Office Parks), the Food Bank of Westchester, The American Red Cross, Greenwich Hospital, and United Hospital Medical Center. Additionally, Mr. O’Callaghan has served as President of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick of Westchester and is also a member of REFA (The Real Estate Finance Association).

Chris and his wife live in Rye, New York, and have four daughters.

Stephen Kaufman is an associate real estate broker at RM Friedland, LLC focusing on the Bronx and Westchester counties. He has completed deals with medical groups, child and adult day care centers, retail and general office users as well as numerous gourmet regional deli, laundromat, and discount store operators. He has represented both landlords and tenants as well as buyers and sellers of commercial properties. Steve has a reputation for finding space for even the most specialized of uses. He is tenacious in his efforts throughout the deal process and prides himself on both his ongoing communication with all parties and his high ethical standards.

Prior to entering commercial real estate brokerage, Steve was a plumbing and mechanical contractor specializing in institutional work including hospitals and schools. He holds a BA with a triple minor from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA with concentrations in Real Estate and Finance from Columbia University. Jillian Reiner is an associate in RM Friedland’s office leasing division. Recognized throughout the county as an emerging young professional, Reiner represents both landlords and tenants. A key goal of hers is to build long-term, mutually beneficial, strategic relationships that will lead to her continued success and enable the firm to distinguish itself as a market leader in the Westchester County marketplace.

Reiner grew up in a real estate family and understands the real estate business. Her father operates a boutique commercial real estate company on Long Island. For years, Jillian has been alongside her father, his associates and partners learning about the business from deal selection, through to execution and ongoing management of residential and commercial properties.

Jillian is a self-starter who works best knowing what the responsibilities and goals are. Once on a project, she has been complimented for being able to recognize the big picture in anticipating the requirements of customers, clients, managers and her team. Reiner has a creative eye as well as a logical business skill set. She has enjoyed great satisfaction utilizing her education and passion in creative concept and presentation, the use of social media, market research, and deal execution.

Prior to her beginning her career in Real Estate, Jillian graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Reiner grew up in the seaside community of Sag Harbor, New York and now resides in Armonk, New York.

Reed Waggoner joined RMF in January 2021 as an associate in RM Friedland’s new office division.

Reed is a self-motivated, team-oriented real estate professional with experience in property management, acquisitions, and brokerage focused on every stage of a transaction, including underwriting, market research, property tours, preparation of offering memorandums, marketing, term sheet negotiation, closing, and client meetings. His strong analytical and problem-solving skills have allowed him to effectively manage client relationship databases and target landlords, tenants, and investors. His multi-faceted background has also trained him well for lead generation and other business development efforts.

Prior to joining RMF, Reed served as a Capital Markets Associate at JLL. During his time at JLL, Reed closed multiple transactions consisting of multifamily, mixed-use, office, and office co-op assets in NYC totaling $70,000,000 in total volume. Of those transactions, was the first “SRO building” in Chelsea to be valued, negotiated, and closed since the passing of the “Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019” and the first Chelsea multifamily building to sell in 2020.

Reed began his real estate career at Harbor Road Holdings, a NYC based real estate investment firm focused on value-added assets. He interned at Harbor Road while attending Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX, and then served as an Analyst at the firm prior to his move to JLL. During Reed’s four years at Harbor Road, he gained a solid real estate foundation and played a large role in the asset management, acquisitions, investor relations, and equity raising side of the business.

Reed grew up in the Westchester area and now resides in Rye, NY. He graduated from Rye Country Day High School and obtained a Real Estate Finance degree from the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business.
